  • BoardGameGeek (BGG) Data: If you choose to sync your account, we access your BGG username and collection data via the public BGG API. We do not store your BGG password.
  • Location Data: To help you find board game cafés, we may request access to your device's GPS location. This is only used to show nearby establishments.
  • Game Results: We store data you manually input, such as game scores, player names in your lobbies, and match dates.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide the core features of the app (finding cafés, tracking stats).
  • To facilitate multiplayer lobbies and friend invitations.
  • To sync your play logs with BoardGameGeek.
  • To improve app performance and fix bugs.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

  • BoardGameGeek: Data is shared with BGG only when you explicitly choose to "Log Play" or "Import Collection."
  • Other Users: Your username and stats may be visible to friends you invite to your game lobbies.
  • Service Providers: We may use third-party analytics (like Firebase) to monitor app usage.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your information as long as your account is active. You may request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@bgsidekick.com.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
